Question & Answer Corner

1.  What do we do if a code is invalid?

We have seen a lot of codes that are fraud lately, if you are not purchasing the code from Origin and use a 3rd party site then more than likely you are buying a bad code.

2.  Are you still accepting castle designs?

Yes we are, you can draw it out on paper if you wish, suggesting different stone would be nice also.  Different Windows etc.

3 .  A player on Siege asked for Frostwood and various other resources to be added to the merchant ships?

We will review all the loot on the ships when we revamp that system.

Customer Service

1. If you have an account that was terminated by CS over a year ago and would like to have it back please contact support here and give them the details and identify the account as yours, depending on the termination we will remove the restriction from your account so you may open it again.

2. All Sovereigns purchased from Origin have to be entered on the Account Management page.  You can not enter these in game.

3. Anyone that is trying to reopen an account please make sure you send all the information to support@ultimaonline.com so we can have a record of this.  In the original request to support if you do not know your secret word please ask for a hint.  Give them all the information to identify the account as yours so there will not be a lot of delays.

4.  Anyone that does not get their codes from Origin please follow this link to resolve the issue..

5.  If you have any in game questions or issues please either page in game or email support@ultimaonline.com.

6.  For any feedback to content put in game please send it to UO@broadsword.com.

7.  Regarding Origin orders, codes, and third party resellers.

Recently some of the player base may have noticed that an Origin store purchase they have made did not arrive or complete as expected. A confirmation or code email has not been received and you are wondering what may have occurred with your order. The Origin store enacts reviews on all transactions to safeguard against fraudulent purchases, and these reviews may take up to 72 hours. Unfortunately our Billing department is not able to expedite or circumvent this process, however players who have questions or concerns regarding a store purchase can contact Origin support for assistance using the below link:

http://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/

When prompted for a product, choose Origin. Next choose your platform, and select ‘Orders’ as the topic. You can further specify your issue in the subsequent fields before speaking with an agent.

We would also like to reiterate that the Origin store is the only guaranteed provider of codes for Ultima Online. The validity of a code purchased from a third-party seller (be it a friend, in-game acquaintance, or recommended site) cannot be guaranteed. Furthermore, any codes we find to have be fraudulently obtained will be disabled and an account that applies any of these codes will have that code removed from said account. This can result in the loss of gametime, character slots, expansion access, Sovereigns (and the items purchased with them), in-game items and more. Please be advised that we cannot assist with any issues stemming from codes purchased via non-Origin means; you will be required to contact the vendor from which you purchased the code for further assistance.

Initiation Event

To the Royal Spies:

I would like each of you to join one of the three groups we have been investigating lately: the Kinship of the Rose, the Seers of the Moonstone, or the Library of Scars. Meet with the group of your choosing and go through their initiation rites.

Please the initiation item your recover and a book with your name in the mailbox. These initiations will be available until Friday, March 17th at 11:59 PM CST.

Sincerely,

–Magnus Grey

Various Notes:

  • There is a gate to each group at the Royal Spy Base. The Royal Spy base is located under the West Britain Counselor Hall and entered by means of the secret passage behind the decorative armor. The gates are named and hued for each group: yellow (Kinship), red (Scars), and blue (Moonstone).
  • Each path has one or more initiation items (interesting items that drop from the combat in each path). They are gaman horns (Kinship), primitive fetish (Scars), and eggs/statues/carrots (Moonstone).
  • Because there is some issue with the monsters dropping enough items, if you attempt a path, but do not get the initiation item, please turn in a book explaining what happened. You will still receive credit as normal.
  • Please complete the book in the Classic client. Do not even open the book in the Enhanced client unless you’ve red-leafed it.
  • Alternatively, you can email us your answers at: EMMalachi@gmail.com or EMElizabella@gmail.com.
  • Characters (Also called Oracles) generally always respond to their names. They will also usually respond to the final word of each line or any word in all CAPS. Some will also respond to special threads of conversation mentioned by other characters.
  • You will be able to join one group as a full member, but if you are interested in becoming a friend to the other groups, feel free to try all three group’s initiations.

Amoranth carefully finished painting a rose on the last page of the book. He had spent his free time in the last month illustrating “The Children’s Book of Virtues” for the free nursery the Kinship of the Rose was opening. Some might consider such use of his time frivolous, but Amoranth didn’t agree. There had to be art in Virtue, and there had to be love. Amoranth loved to paint, and it would make him happy to see the children of Paws laughing with the illustrated bard or rooting for the knight facing a dragon.

Placing the open book on the shelf to dry, he picked up the bowl with his half-eaten dinner. Amoranth slid the food bowl into a cage holding the order’s elderly silver serpent. Normally a lazy and placid creature, the snake lunged and knocked the bowl out of its cage.

Bending down, Amoranth started picking up the shards of the ceramic bowl. Cutting his hand on one, he sucked at the wound and looked back at the snake, “What a strange reaction…”

Syria watched the new recruits and nodded her approval. When she had taken over after the disappearance of De Snel, many had doubted the young warrior’s ability to lead, but she had continued to build the reputation and glory of the Library of Scars. Giving the order to go through the maneuver once more, she left the great hall and headed to her quarters.

As she stepped inside, someone pressed a knife to her neck. “You are looking well, Syria.”

She recognized the voice, and her body tensed. “You’re supposed to be dead.”

“Close enough, my dear.”

“So you came here to kill me? Stabbing someone in the back always was your way.”

“I’m not going to kill you. Not yet. Not until I’ve destroyed everything that you’ve built.”

With this last word, a club came down on the back of Syria’s head.

Dr. Owl was drawn to Fyrgen’s chamber by the screams. The room was dark and filled with the heady smell of the younger mage’s incense. On the small cot, Fyrgen was struggling against a knot of sheets. Dr. Owl moved to calm the prophetic mage, helping Fyrgen unbind himself and catch his breath. After a few minutes, Dr. Owl found the nerve to ask Fyrgen what he saw.

The young mage whispered, “Nemesis…”

Greetings everyone,

We are happy to announce the details of our 20th Year Anniversary Party!.  The dates are September 22nd and 23rd, 2017.  Please go here to read about the activities, the location and rooms, and make sure you fill out the registration page if you are going to be joining us this year to help us celebrate. Please note the registration deadline to take advantage of the discounted room rates is March 31st, 2017.  After that you can still register but the rooms will cost more.  Space is limited so please register early!

To cut down on confusion I am asking each person to register separate not as a group.  This way I can get a more accurate count as to how many rooms I need to block off at a discount rate and how many days needed.  If you plan on coming in on Thursday night and staying after the BBQ , then you will need 3 nights.

We hope we see everyone there to celebrate with us, this is a huge milestone for Ultima Online and we all hope you can be a part of it!

Hope to see you there!!

Windrunner

By EM Bennu

“I know you have heard the legends. They are true, every single one of them.” An old hermit called the Seer peered across the fire at the two boys.

“The one about the pirates and the Lady?” Haren, aged no more than nine seemed enthralled.

“True, every word of it.” The Seer nodded.

“What about the one about the little girl and the corpser?” Dreu, Haren’s twin crossed his arms in disbelief.

“That one too, the Dark Wolf protects this island and has for generations.”

“Where did he come from?”

“There are stories, some say he isn’t a wolf at all, that he is the last of a race of Lycan, from another world entirely. Some say he is a cursed man with no words left in him, only action.”

“But he is good right? Not evil like the stories about Mondain or Minax?” Haren licked his lips and peered around at the dark forest.

“Of course. The Dark Wolf is a protector, a companion without his pairing.”

“Seems lonely, out in the forest all alone. No friends, no family.” Dreu spoke.

“So you believe the stories now, do you Dreu?” the Seer smiled.

“I don’t know, but I wouldn’t want to sleep out here alone, forever and ever.” The evening air blew in and Dreu shivered.

“You boys should better go back to town, it is late and your parents will worry.” The Seer stood and kicked dirt over the fire. “Off with you now!”

The two boys scampered into the direction of Serpent’s Hold along the rocky beach. Haren took the lead, driving a path over the slick rocks.

“That old man is crazy, Windrunner isn’t real.” Dreu chided his brother in a boastful sort of bravery.

“That isn’t what you were saying just a minute ago!” his brother answered back.

“I was just being polite, that old Seer is full of stories, and I bet not one of them is true. He just tells them so we keep bringing him apples and that ale you stole from Father.”

“Whatever!” Haren scoffed.

The wilds of the jungled forest around the city of Serpent’s Hold held few secrets, the city occupied much of the land, with very little room for else. The rocky beach offered no fertile ground. The hermit therefor had no fields to pilfer, no wild edibles, very little small game. He was utterly dependent on the charity of others; Dreu was correct that it was the Seer’s stories that kept his belly from being hollow.

“Stop!” Dreu shouted, but was too late.

His brother stopped cold, face to face with a pair of panthers. The two sleek grey cats circled the boys flicking their tails, hungry.

“Back away slowly.” Dreu whispered.

For every slow step backward the pair took, the cats advanced two. The two yelled for help, but were still too far from the city to be heard and the Seer was long gone.

Haren tripped over a vine and fell backwards to the ground. Dreu bolted and ran toward the city.

The two cats separated, one in chase, the other dropped low, ready to pounce. As Haren slowly began to right himself the panther sprung toward him only to be answered by a massive blackened wolf who took the cat between its jaws and shook the life out of it, tossing the corpse against a tree.

“Windrunner?” Haren whispered.

The large wolf snorted and gave chase toward the other panther. He seemed in the eyes of Haren to float more than run, the speed and deft course caught up with the panther and jumped over it, putting itself between Dreu and the danger.

Windrunner let out a low growl and the panther skulked, lowering its head in submission. The massive dark wolf turned and nosed under the boy till Dreu hung onto his back. The two returned, and Haren joined his brother. The two boys atop the massive dark wolf of Legend, Windrunner.

They did not yet know it but their ride of terror and fright would be one of many, for the lonely Windrunner was ever on the search for a companion of his own.

The two boys returned to their beds late, knowing none would believe their tale. But in the forest an old hermit smiled, and peered out into the dark toward the city.

“Good job old friend, well done Windrunner…”
