The Treasure Hunt Challenge is going international!

Last month the Gold Diggers of Legends Shard won a record third competition in a row by defeating a former two-time champion, the Blue Beetles of Catskills. The match was a close affair, with some added drama in the form of a surprise rule change designed to challenge the two veteran teams. Unbeknownst to the Legends team, however, another shard was already waiting for their turn…

Dearest Miko and Helios,
I hope everything's fine with you and the people of Legends. For a considerable time now I have followed Legend’s story of success in the Treasure Hunter Challenge. It made me think that the time has come to give you a real formidable opponent! For weeks Drachenfels has had Treasure Hunter team, waiting. After weeks of heavy training, The Pink Pickers are prepared to challenge you! Let’s say it quick and easy...

Herewith I want to challenge you to compete with my Drachenfels Treasure Hunter Team! We are prepared for you! Anytime, and anywhere! Hopefully we get a positive response from you soon.

Sincere regards,
The Pink Pickers & EM Borbarad

Helios and Miko responded without hesitation:

This matchup should prove to be an interesting one, as it marks the first time a shard from outside North America will participate. Is Drachenfels up to the pressure of beating a three time champion? Will Legends be able to sustain their winning ways? Come to the Chessboard in Nujel’m and watch Drachenfels take on Legends to find out!

Date: Sunday, June 3rd
Time: 4pm EST, 10pm CEST
Place: Nujel’m Chessboard, Test Center Shard
Spectators are encouraged to come and cheer on their favorite team! Gates will be provided from the New Haven bank prior to and during the event.

Prankster Strikes Again

Law officials are on the lookout for the individual responsible for a recent prank, which left many with lower back injuries and hernias. With the land being absent of a monarch for far too long, the miraculous appearance of a sword in a stone seems to have addressed the people's cries for order. Etched writing on the blade not concealed by the stone reads "Whosoever shall pulleth this sword from this stone shall become.." There are few citizens of the land not familiar with the old tale of how a squire once won a kingdom by pulling a similar sword from a stone. As word spread, the crowds began to gather, as determined individuals would try their hand at the task of drawing the sword, with no avail. Disgruntled citizens finally descended upon the boulder with sledgehammers and pickaxes in hand, revealing that the sword was reinforced with several pieces of rebar and the remaining writing on the sword stating "Cheater! LOL!"

It hadn’t ever seemed like such a long journey from Ver Lor Reg to the moongate before, but their group had never been so haggard either. As the humans in Ilshenar had increased in numbers the strain on the city of Ver Lor Reg had grown to the point that it was no longer sustainable for some of the businesses and families. Prices had increased to the point that many of the gargoyles who’d lived there for ages could no longer afford to remain. Queen Zhah’s offer had tempted many away, and even some of the town guards had taken it up and left. With the pressure of the humans in the desert sifting and drawing in monsters of all sorts, combined with the opening into Exodus dungeon emitting the mechanical monsters regularly, the situation had quickly started devolving.

Vas-Wen helped to drag along one of her fellow gargoyles as they made their way through the desert towards the moongate, with a gargoyle child in her other arm. The few among them with weapons were tasked with clearing a path through the dangerous areas. She was one of the few who had managed to escape uninjured when the end had started, and now she was doing everything she could to help her fellow gargoyles get away from what was left of their once glorious and beautiful city. It had just happened so fast, it still all seemed like a dream…

Zox Greatsnapper want to habe museum like hummies and der pointy ears!
Zox no havings rare items thoughs.
*looks sad*
Zox only habe shiny pebbles, fishies, and a hat.
Maybe Zox havings Museum of Fish someday!

Help Zox Greatsnapper build her collection of fish! Each month, she will announce a type of fish or crustacean that she is interested in. Leave the heaviest example of the type in the mailbox at the Wedding House by the deadline. The winning fish will be put on display in the Wedding House for a time, then moved to the Award Hall. The curator of the Award Hall has promised Zox she will display them until Zox has enough to build her own Museum.

If your fish is not the heaviest, you may have it back, if you left a house rune to your mailbox with the fish.

All non-winning fish that are left without return information will be cooked and distributed to the hungry peasants of Britain and Paws.

We’ll start off with blue marlin. The blue marlin must be caught sometime between now and June 11th. It must be turned in by June 11th, before 11:59 p.m. CDT. The heaviest blue marlin will be on display in the Wedding House the next day. Blue marlin can be found in Trammel by grandmaster fishers and above.
